Hi everyone,

Whether you’re taking summer classes, traveling to new or favorite destinations, or a bit of both, we hope your summer is off to a good start! We’ve had great success with creating monthly newsletters this past year and want to make them more immersive for our members, so we’ve migrated to Substack!

Last month, we had a casual, engaging Discord chat with our members. As we approach the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, the ASIS&T Student Chapter (SC) Leadership Team looks forward to the events we’ll be hosting in the months to come.

This month’s general meeting, held July 31st at 5pm pst, we’ll be hosting a discussion about Artificial Intelligence. AI is making waves in the fields of Information Science, Librarianship, Records Management and Informatics. We invite you to join us to learn about the news and trends surrounding AI. We’ll have a brief introduction to define AI and understand the potential impacts it could have on our fields of study, followed by a discussion.
