This month, we are excited to share that we’ll be hosting a most epic event collaboration between ASIS&T SC and the User Experience Student Group (UXSG) @ the iSchool. On Tuesday, November 12, @ 6 pm, the event will be Open Access & Innovative Web Applications: A Deep Dive of the Prelinger Library Stacks Explorer with Featured Speaker Devin Smith. ASIS&T Annual Meeting Recap
As many of you may know, Chris and I were recently in Calgary from October 25th-29th for the ASIS&T Annual Conference in Calgary, Alberta. While we there we did an iSchool Social Media Takeover, recorded a LiveStream via our ASIS&T YouTube channel, listened to numerous presentations (paper, poster, and panel formats) on topics ranging from Crisis Informatics to AI & its implications and ethical considerations, attended the Student Reception, SIG-USE x US West Reception, and the Open and Closing Plenaries.
Major thank you to Dr. Hodges for giving ASIS&T SC a shoutout and sharing about his wonderful experiences being a part of the parent organization and for Jack the PhD candidate who shared a bit about his academic journey and part of the poster presentation development process. Finally, we are thrilled to share that ASIS&T SC was selected to receive the Student Chapter of the Year Award for 2024!
